This micro-lot is an outstanding Sidra natural variety from the region of El Valle in Loja. Its a natural process invoking flavors from berries, sweet chocolate, plum and a hint of ripe pineapple. A soft and delicious well-balanced coffee.
The rainbow starfrontlet is found in Ecuador and Peru. It inhabits the edges of both humid and semi-humid cloudforest, gardens, and riparian scrub. In elevation it generally ranges from 1.700 to 3.300 m. Males have a glittering yellow-green forecrown that transitions through golden yellow to blue on the crown. The throat and chest are glittering emerald green and the throat has a small violet spot. Nominate females are generally similar to the males but with less of a metallic sheen. The rainbow starfrontlet obtains its nectar from a wide variety of flowering plants, from silver trees to fuchsias to violet bushes. The stock is listed as "Least Concern" by the IUCN.
